This was composed of surviving Early Seventies crap commercial art. The unbuilt boutique is part of the road not taken archive. These were grand cultural events that showed the changing of the guard from a fashion point of view which in retrospect was the lions share of it all anyway. Feb 20, 2005 - Holly Drive - the Oil Painting has begun here, on National Boutique. This is an Orange Quest. The Oils are largely odorless but here we go with that odious substance: Oil. This Fv has people, boundary, hype hence Nationality. A boutique thereof, this F is becoming an oil painting on it's front most surface at the expense of all filling print media whose type is becoming less legible. The F series marches on. I love the richness of the color. Painterlyness is happening even tho she isn't here. What a waste. I dreamt about the canvas F series this morning: Hurtling Cube, Signature, Sue Eyes. These Three with First Paintings are the traditional painting items in this series. The originals were from the late sixties and early seventies, school era work of the Tim Martin Light Show body of art. There are a dozen paintings out there somewhere by this young artist one is an abstract landscape with about $60 worth of paint on it. Another is a giant eye acrylic on masonite. Theses things may exist somewhere out there. for now I plan to rebegin painting on these college canvases. The F series storms into familiar territory, hide your old ideas they are in danger of destruction. |
