DeadHead Certification is another expression of B056 and an extension of The Certification Process with a GD motif. Younger brother to Checkerdead.

Props in order dead.net by robert Hunter and Friends.

6-18-2003 - Since the DeadTape collection exists only as CD wallets and will one day be aiff or somesuch files on the cloud and intermediate stage might be listing my collection within this Fv. This then would originate the basis of a trading portal and jam band music. Distributed organization for personal benefit is consistent with banjotime mission ideals.

6-20-2003 - I see where and how this Fv should eat the Tub full of CD cases. How it will work is that when you click on the date in the table it starts to play the discs of that date. It may be about 400 gigabytes. A small enterprise. Gotta be better than MP3 quality. It's all CD quality stuff now, less than 8% mp3.

Someone could sponsor an SHN download site from this collection. etc.

1-11-2005 - I am downloading the last couple of tunes from disc 9 or Phil's New Years gift - Dec 17, 18 19 Warfield. This is an inspirational creation in the true context of the ancient Grateful Dead, the one that died 8/9/1995. This really has something excellent about it. Chris Robinson brings something to the show. Kate Hudson.

3-13-2005 - A negative Jerry Head has taken the lower right corner of this Fv. The image is from the inside cover jacket of the Rolling Stone book of garcia interviews. I think this is now the second largest human image in the entire F series. Jerry is now a deadhead, he is seen cavorting with elvis at the edge of reality. Sometimes people see Jerry in cloud formations.

June 11, 2005 ~ I am downloading Phil's 2005 shows: May 13th, February 12th. ~ Having done so I then downloaded a plug in for the New Acer to transform these aiff files into MP3's. Now these are uploading to the brand new tombanjo.com Version 2.0!

Dec 2, 2005 - Message from Phil

An Announcement from Phil Lesh:

It was brought to my attention that all of the Grateful Dead shows were taken down from Archive.org right before Thanksgiving. I was not part of this decision making process and was not notified that the shows were to be pulled. I do feel that the music is the Grateful Dead's legacy and I hope that one way or another all of it is available for those who want it . I have enjoyed using Archive.org and found it invaluable during the writing of my book. I found myself being pulled back in time listening to old Grateful Dead shows while giggling with glee or feeling that ache in my heart listening to Jerry's poetic guitar and sweet voice.

We are musicians not businessmen and have made good and bad decisions on our journey. We do love and care about our community as you helped us make the music. We could not have made this kind of music without you as you allowed us to play "without a net". Your love, trust and patience made it possible for us to try again the next show when we couldn't get that magic carpet off the ground. Your concerns have been heard and I am sure are being respectfully addressed.
- Phil

March 20, 2006 - Truly certifiable this Wake of the Flood Matchbook is, Judith and I were at the original auction of sixties stuff behind a record store on Francisco Blvd a couple blocks from Le Club Front. The great an awesome originals went up for sale, at the last minute several were withdrawn. among the lesser offerings was a Box of 50 Matchbooks from wake of the flood promotional material. Tom Banjo bought these and distributed as gifts and bribes till none were left. till last week when I found a pack that was sent to my mother in a 1980 letter. It must have been one of the final few. Here it is for all you dead art fans and my humble self as well.

June 24th, 2007 ~ banjotime received a takedown notice for the Robert Hunter short story collection which, like everything else in my life, is archived within banjotime or else just falls away. The Take Down Notice is now the official hit song of the New World Order mainstream media of which the grateful dead, no matter how wonderful, were simply a part. At any moment in pop cultural history there is a shortlist of licensed and branded new world order artists. Anyone not on that list is marginalized.

8/25/7 Dead.net comment

I actually signed in to leave a comment about how the new system sucks but then I read a couple comments and I see the subject has already been covered.
Like some others I felt the afterlife dead was moving forward with this version of dead.net. o well.
Long ago I paraphrased Bill Graham's famous statement:
The Grateful Dead are the worst at what they do. Irresponsible. Lazy. Dull witted. Unfortunately they are the only ones in modern history who actually tried to DO what they are doing.
At the end of this strange history we can see it was really all about Jerry and his power to make it seem like it was about everybody else as well. He had me fooled.
Phil, Mickey and Bobby are now a part of what everybody else also does and they are among the best. Brilliant, dedicated, inspired: Unfortunately the whole field has very little meaning or value to the higher mind.
It's worse than that. Excellence within the field of normal entertainment bears the greatest responsibility for the dumbing down of the world population and the political repression that has turned once great america into a police state. The Phils and George Lucases and Johnny Depps and Paris Hiltons of the world are the enabling force that allows the central bank to enslave the well entertained masses.
It's a ancient Roman Empire trick, Caesar invented the NFL.
Because the Grateful Dead did at one time exist those of us who experienced the power of the Magic Moment merging performer audience and music into a single greater entity hold Dead.net to a higher standard. So the new streaming format sucks in that context.
probably not worth mentioning. Fuck the pope. Fuck the roman empire. Regicide is now the only answer.
And Jerry, if you read this crap in heaven, thanks for trying. Sorry I wasn't more help.

Christmas 2007 ~ Hillside Drive ~ Phil and friends have seen fit to donate 7 NY shows to the free information world. It is good to see a little class still shining deep within the carcass of the Grateful Dead. This rendition of Phil and Friends can be called the Rise of Jackie Greene.

Zeroday between 26 and 27 bt - Hillside Drive ~ The Alpha Hippie his holy self.

Hey Tom Banjo, isn't that my hat?
